Illegal immigrant arrested for murder
An illegal alien accused of murdering a woman in West Virginia had previously served over two decades in prison in El Salvador before being released into the U.S. during Joe Biden’s presidency.
David Antonio Calderon, 46, was arrested this month in Frederick County, Virginia. It was later revealed that Calderon had a criminal record in El Salvador from 1999-2021, including charges of drunk driving, sexual assault, murder, aggravated robbery, and drug offenses.
In March 2023, Calderon was denied asylum in Canada, leading Canadian authorities to hand him over to DHS. He was subsequently released with a Notice to Appear (NTA) before a federal immigration judge.
Authorities discovered the body of a 33-year-old woman on May 6th, following a fire in Berkeley County, West Virginia. In April, Calderon allegedly attacked and injured two homeless individuals, resulting in a warrant for his arrest for malicious assault. Shortly after the woman’s body was found, Calderon was apprehended on the warrants for the attacks and later charged with her murder.
Calderon remains in custody at the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center in Frederick County.
