Illegal Migrants Commit Serious Crimes That Could Have Been Avoided
Senate Democrats may have dismissed the articles of impeachment against Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas for not meeting the required level under the U.S. Constitution, but immigration experts still argue that the Biden administration’s border policies have led to an increase in criminals, some of whom have committed serious crimes.
Customs and Border Protection data shows that, in this fiscal year so far, there have been over 8,700 arrests of criminal noncitizens. In fiscal year 2023, there were more than 15,000 arrests, and in the previous year, there were over 12,000.
