Investigation Launched into Gun Charges of Influential Migrant

The “migrant influencer” Leonel Moreno, known for promoting squatting and other illegal activities on social media, is currently under investigation for potential federal firearm charges, as reported by The New York Post.

Although the specific charges against Moreno are not yet known, sources indicate that they are likely related to the Gun Control Act, which prohibits individuals on parole from possessing firearms or ammunition.

Moreno gained a large following on TikTok, where he encouraged the exploitation of U.S. government programs and benefits while openly mocking Americans. After entering the U.S. illegally in 2022, he was apprehended by ICE on March 29 in Columbus, Ohio, for violating his parole.

Former ICE field officer John Fabbriatore stated that if the ATF pursues charges against Moreno, he would be transferred to the custody of the U.S. Marshals.

Moreno’s videos showcased his disdain for work and his ease in obtaining money through illegal means, including handling firearms in gun stores in some of his later posts. However, there is currently no evidence that he purchased a gun following these social media rants.

Notorious for promoting squatting in U.S. homes, Moreno urged his followers to take over abandoned houses, citing laws that allowed for such actions. The ATF declined to comment on any potential investigations related to Moreno.
