Jack Kingston Tells Newsmax that Trump Gag Order is “Close to” Being Insignificant
Former Rep. Jack Kingston stated on Newsmax Sunday that the gag order against former President Donald Trump in his business records trial in New York City is almost irrelevant, as most people view the trials as political rather than legal. Kingston, along with former Rep. Pete King, discussed the matter on the “Wake Up America” show.
A recent poll highlighted by John McLaughlin on Newsmax indicated that 66% of Americans, including Democrats, believe that the trials are politically motivated. Kingston remarked that the true intent behind the trials is to drain Trump’s time, money, and damage his reputation.
Kingston pointed out that the gag order may backfire because more attention would be drawn to the trial if Trump were allowed to speak freely. However, he believes that most people see it as a political stunt and are not paying much attention.
Elsewhere, Rep. King criticized President Joe Biden’s recent Presidential Medal of Freedom awards, noting that they were heavily biased towards Democrats. Kingston added that the list lacked recognition for veterans and police officers, who are on the frontlines defending freedom and democracy.
King also criticized Al Gore for his climate activism efforts, calling him the “ultimate hypocrite” for his use of private jets while advocating for environmental causes. The conversation on the show covered various political issues, highlighting the lack of bipartisanship in current events.
