Speaking to Newsmax Wednesday over a new Emerson College poll, which found that 64% of Washington D.C. residents believe former President Donald Trump should be found guilty in the trial regarding the attempt to “subvert results of the 2020 election,” Jason Miller, Trump’s 2024 senior campaign adviser, suggested that despite this, most Americans voters will “see through” the prosecution.
When asked by “American Agenda” if the survey polling a mostly Democrat city, which decided overwhelmingly Trump should be found guilty, Miller responded, “Taking a look at what the Joe Biden insurance policy looks like right now, of course, the ‘Get Trump’ effort is going to look for Democrat municipalities to try to push forward with some of this legal witch hunt.
“We see it in almost every example of where they’re bringing this up. But I think voters are pretty smart. I think they’re going to see through this and realize exactly what they’re trying to do, which is to try to stack it against President Trump because he’s beating Joe Biden.”
According to a recent Premise poll — conducted from Aug. 30-Sept. 5 — 42% of 1,701 adults said they would vote for Trump compared to 37% who said they would vote for Biden if the general election were held today; 21% were not sure.
