Hip-hop icon Jay-Z faces serious allegations of having raped a 13-year-old girl alongside Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs at an afterparty following the VMAs in New York approximately 20 years ago, a recent lawsuit asserts.

The plaintiff, referred to as “Jane Doe,” has brought forth these alarming accusations in a civil lawsuit refiled in the Southern District of New York on Sunday.
This lawsuit was initially submitted in October, targeting Combs alone, but has now been revised to include Jay-Z, whose legal name is Shawn Carter.
In response, Jay-Z has labeled the accusations as unfounded, alleging that the plaintiff’s attorney attempted to “blackmail” him before re-filing the complaint.
The alleged incident reportedly took place after the VMAs in September 2000, during an event characterized by significant drug use, where it’s claimed a nameless “female celebrity” observed the occurrence.
The young woman alleged that the incident transpired after she consumed a drink that rendered her feeling “woozy and lightheaded,” according to the lawsuit.
“Seeking a place to rest, the plaintiff entered what she thought was an empty bedroom to lie down briefly,” the original complaint stated.
“Shortly thereafter, Combs entered the room, accompanied by defendant Carter and a female celebrity. The plaintiff instantly recognized all three individuals.”
“Combs approached the plaintiff aggressively with a wild look in his eyes, seized her, and proclaimed, ‘You are ready to party,’” the lawsuit detailed.
“Combs then threw the plaintiff against a wall, causing her to fall. The plaintiff got back on her feet, only for Combs to grab her again and throw her onto the bed. At this stage, Carter started to remove the plaintiff’s clothing as she became increasingly dazed.”
The complaint further claims that the woman was restrained and assaulted by Combs and Carter while the unnamed female celebrity observed.
In his reaction, Carter condemned the new allegations and criticized the plaintiff’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, who has managed several civil actions against Combs following the latter’s federal sex-trafficking charges in September.
“My attorney received a blackmail attempt, disguised as a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. His strategy was to exploit the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny to pressure me into settling,” Carter stated in an extensive response.
“No, it had the opposite effect! It motivated me to publicly reveal you for the fraud you truly are. So, I will not give you ONE RED CENT.”
“These accusations are so grotesque that I urge you to file a criminal report, not just a civil lawsuit!! Whoever commits such a crime against a minor deserves to be imprisoned, wouldn’t you agree?” he added.
“Such alleged victims deserve proper justice if that were to happen.”
Carter also mentioned, “My sole concern is for my family. My wife and I will have to explain to our kids, particularly one who is of an age where her friends will definitely see the news and inquire about the claims, about the cruelty and avarice of certain individuals.”
Combs’ legal representatives dismissed the latest lawsuit as mere “shameless publicity stunts.”
“As his legal team has asserted previously, Mr. Combs has complete confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial system. In the courtroom, the truth will emerge: Mr. Combs has never assaulted or trafficked anyone — whether they are male or female, adult or minor.”
Currently, Combs has pleaded not guilty to federal charges and is scheduled to stand trial in May. He remains in federal custody in Brooklyn without bail.
