According to pollster Jim McLaughlin, former President Donald Trump is leading his competitors, including President Joe Biden, on key issues such as the economy, inflation, immigration, crime, and war and peace. The latest polls show that 15% of the electorate has buyers’ remorse for Biden. Trump is also leading in the Republican presidential primary field with 51% of the vote, while Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis dropped to third place. In a hypothetical rematch, Trump is beating Biden by four percentage points nationally and by an even larger margin in key battleground states. Democratic pollster Doug Schoen also has Trump ahead of Biden in his polls. Additionally, Trump’s job approval rating sits at 52%.
