Judge Napolitano Tells Newsmax: Trump Has Nothing to Worry About

Former New Jersey Superior Court Judge Andrew Napolitano assured Newsmax on Thursday that former President Donald Trump should not be concerned as a Manhattan jury deliberates his fate.

Speaking on “Newsline,” Napolitano mentioned that Trump already has a basis for an appeal or overturning his conviction in his New York criminal trial.

Napolitano disagreed with Judge Juan Merchan’s instruction to the jury that they could consider three different ways a law may have been violated, without needing to agree unanimously on which law was violated.

“I would argue that this is unconstitutional,” Napolitano stated. “The law is flawed, and [Judge Merchan] should have declared it invalid before the trial began. However, it is too late to invalidate it now.”

Despite the jury instruction, Napolitano praised Merchan for his demeanor during the trial.
