Kari Lake Goes to Newsmax: Nostalgic for MAGAnomics

Discussing the impact of inflation on Americans, Kari Lake shared with Newsmax on Wednesday that “Everyone misses MAGAnomics.”

During an appearance on “Newsline,” Lake, who is vying for the Republican nomination for senator in Arizona, highlighted the challenges Americans are facing due to inflation.

“Rent prices and grocery expenses have gone up by 21%,” Lake noted. “The costs of electricity and energy for heating and cooling homes have increased by almost 30%. In Arizona, where summers are extremely hot, people are finding it difficult to afford to cool their homes.”

Lake emphasized that people are experiencing the effects of inflation firsthand, whether it’s at the grocery store or gas station.

“Everything is becoming more expensive,” Lake mentioned. “The average American family has seen a decline of $33,000 in real wealth annually under Biden’s economic policies. People are nostalgic for MAGAnomics and are eager to see its return.”

When discussing her Democratic opponent in the senate race, Rep. Ruben Gallego, Lake criticized him for supporting Biden’s policies wholeheartedly.

“My opponent endorsed all the measures that led to this economic crisis,” Lake stated. “Rising grocery prices are forcing people to make tough decisions. We are at the epicenter of this economic turmoil, with inflation hitting Arizona and Phoenix particularly hard.”

Gallego was also called out for his opposition to former President Donald Trump’s border wall, which Lake believes has contributed to an influx of illegal immigrants that has negatively impacted the wages of American citizens.

“Hardworking individuals with multiple jobs are finding it increasingly difficult as wages are not keeping up with the influx of low-cost labor,” Lake explained.
