Karl Rove Warns: RFK Jr.’s Actions Might Damage Trump’s Reputation

Political strategist Karl Rove suggested that independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. could impact former President Donald Trump’s chances of winning back the White House in November.

While no third-party candidate has ever been elected president, their campaigns have historically influenced election outcomes.

Rove pointed out that despite concerns from Democrats about how RFK Jr.’s presence could affect President Joe Biden, Trump should also be cautious about the impact of the former congressman running in the November election.

“Mr. Trump has expressed mixed feelings about Mr. Kennedy, from calling him ‘a Radical Left Lunatic’ to ‘a nice guy,'” wrote Rove in an opinion piece for The Wall Street Journal. “As a prominent antivaccine activist, Mr. Kennedy could pose a threat to Mr. Trump’s chances of reelection.”

Rove listed some of Kennedy’s controversial beliefs, describing them as “moonbat ideas” that include questioning the responsibility of al-Qaida for 9/11 and suggesting that chemicals in water could spread transgenderism.

“Traditionally, such unconventional beliefs would be damaging to a campaign, but this election year is anything but normal,” Rove explained.

Despite the challenges, Kennedy’s campaign is actively working to get on the ballot in most states. So far, they are on the ballot in 14 states and are making progress in 33 others, according to Rove.

The campaign recently announced that they have secured funding to ensure ballot access in all 50 U.S. states after receiving an $8 million donation from Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan.

Rove also highlighted the impact of other third-party candidates like Cornel West and Jill Stein on the election, noting that both major parties are concerned about potential voter siphoning.

“Democrats, in particular, are worried about Kennedy’s name recognition and influence, as he is the fourth Kennedy to run for presidency,” Rove added. “RFK Jr. is known for his environmental activism and legal actions against pollution.”
