Karoline Leavitt Alleges White House is Subjecting Biden to ‘Elder Abuse’, Tells Newsmax
According to Karoline Leavitt, the press secretary for former President Donald Trump’s election campaign, reports of President Joe Biden changing his walking style to and from Marine One is a clear indication of his lack of physical and mental stamina to serve as president for another four years. Leavitt made these comments in an interview with Newsmax on Friday.
Leavitt described the situation in the White House as “elder abuse,” accusing Biden’s staffers and First Lady Jill Biden of engaging in such behavior.
An Axios report on Friday revealed that Biden, 81, is now typically accompanied by aides when walking to and from Marine One, as opposed to walking alone, to downplay his stiff gait.
Concerns among the president’s advisers were raised after videos of Biden walking alone, especially on grass, highlighted his age.
The president requested a less formal walking approach to the helicopter weeks ago, suggesting that aides walk with him during these transitions.
Leavitt also criticized Biden’s performance, citing instances of stumbling and fumbling with his words, even on a teleprompter. She pointed out Biden’s recent blunder of saying “pause” at the end of a speech, questioning how the media would have reacted if Trump had done the same.
Leavitt also mentioned Trump’s busy schedule, contrasting it with Biden’s, and commented on Pennsylvania’s recent primary election results.
In addition, she highlighted Biden’s declining support among various demographics and the media’s bias in favor of him.
