Ken Cuccinelli tells Newsmax that DeSantis is gaining the trust of Iowa voters
According to a recent Iowa poll, former President Donald Trump is leading Ron DeSantis by 23 percentage points in the race for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. However, Ken Cuccinelli, founder of the pro-DeSantis Never Back Down PAC, believes that signs are pointing in the right direction for DeSantis. He claims that DeSantis has maintained his alternative status to Trump solidly and has been actively campaigning in Iowa, knocking on hundreds of thousands of doors and earning the trust and commitment of over 10,000 voters. Cuccinelli also highlights that DeSantis has received the endorsement of 40 state legislators, compared to 12 for Ted Cruz during the 2016 Iowa caucus. Despite Trump’s current lead, Cuccinelli believes that DeSantis will continue to gain ground and ultimately win Iowa, New Hampshire, and the Republican nomination.
