Kennedys Not Backing RFK Jr.’s Presidential Bid

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who recently announced that he would seek the 2024 Democrat nomination for president, is unlikely to receive the support of his family members.

Kennedy family biographer Laurence Leamer told the New York Post that most of his family is “disgusted with his attitude” in forwarding ant-vaccine activism, and view him as an “embarrassment.”

But the environmental lawyer and author is not only looked down upon for his vaccine views and criticism of former White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci.

According to Leamer, his opinion that convicted assassin Sirhan Sirhan did not kill his father Robert F. Kennedy in 1968 has also left a stain on his image with family members.

“I have done quite a bit of work on the assassination, and that he should support Sirhan Sirhan is even worse than his anti-vax stuff for his family,” said Leamer, who noted that his 94-year-old mother Ethel Kennedy still opposes Sirhan’s release.

Kennedy Jr. filed a statement of candidacy with the Federal Election Commission last week, with his campaign telling the Post that he plans to formally announce his run at a hotel in Boston on April 19.

Two years ago, the high-profile Kennedy clan member released “The Real Anthony Fauci,” a book that alleged Fauci led a “coup d’état” against democracy.

The book also promoted controversial drugs ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine as effective treatments for fighting off COVID-19.

“What I show is that the mercantile and commercial aspect of drug production has completely obscured and eclipsed the regulatory and public health functions of” the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Kennedy Jr. told Newsmax in December 2021.
