Rep. David Kustoff, a Republican from Tennessee, stated that the House is nearing a potential impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. Kustoff wants Attorney General Merrick Garland and Department of Justice special counsel David C. Weiss to testify before any inquiry is launched. He specifically mentioned concerns regarding the firing of Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma, the company Hunter Biden worked for. Kustoff also mentioned IRS whistleblowers who claim they were impeded in their investigation of Hunter Biden. He believes these allegations could potentially lead to “high crimes and misdemeanors.”
