According to the attending physician for Congress, there is no evidence that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has a seizure disorder or suffered a stroke, even after freezing up for the second time recently.
In a letter to McConnell, Dr. Brian Monahan stated that he came to this conclusion after conducting a comprehensive neurological assessment, which included various medical evaluations such as brain MRI imaging, EEG study, and consultations with multiple neurologists.
Monahan said, “There is no evidence that you have a seizure disorder or that you experienced a stroke, TIA, or movement disorder such as Parkinson’s disease.”
He also mentioned that there are no recommended changes in treatment protocols as McConnell continues to recover from his fall in March 2023.
Last Wednesday, McConnell, who is 81 years old, experienced freezing up for the second time in a little over a month.
