Lara Trump Tells Newsmax: Record-breaking Fundraising Month for RNC
Lara Trump, the recently elected co-chair of the Republican National Committee, shared in an interview with Newsmax that significant progress has been made in fundraising for Donald Trump. She mentioned that the RNC has closed the fundraising gap with President Joe Biden’s campaign.
She also highlighted changes made under RNC Chairman Michael Whatley that have strengthened Donald Trump’s position. Lara Trump stated, “This was a huge fundraising month for the RNC. … We’re really proud of the work we’ve done and we’re just getting started.”
While exact figures were not disclosed, it was reported that the RNC raised $65.6 million in March.
Lara Trump emphasized the unified effort between the Trump campaign and the RNC, emphasizing the advantage this brings to Donald Trump. She mentioned a fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, which is expected to raise around $40 million for Trump.
She discussed the changes made at the RNC since taking over, including staffing changes and a review of contracts and vendors to ensure efficient use of funds.
Regarding debates between Donald Trump and Biden, Lara Trump expressed the importance of such debates and suggested that Democrats may try to avoid them.
