Lara Trump Tells Newsmax: Trump Calls Biden’s Bluff on Debates

Lara Trump mentioned in an interview with Newsmax on Wednesday that former President Donald Trump responded to Joe Biden’s challenge by immediately agreeing to the debate terms proposed by Biden’s team.

Earlier that day, both campaigns agreed to hold two debates: one on June 27 hosted by CNN and the other on Sept. 10 hosted by ABC. This revised schedule was agreed upon after Biden announced that he would not participate in the fall debates sponsored by the nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates.

Lara Trump, the co-chair of the Republican National Committee and daughter-in-law of Donald Trump, pointed out that Biden has set himself up with several advantages, including the absence of a live audience at the debates.

“We know that any audience would be cheering for Donald Trump across the country,” she said during an interview on “Rob Schmitt Tonight.”

She added, “Donald Trump immediately accepted the challenge, showing that he is ready to fight fair without any external help or cheating.”
