Lawmakers Push to Rename Street in Honor of Jailed Hong Kong Activist Jimmy Lai
On Tuesday, legislators took steps to rename the street adjacent to Hong Kong’s Washington office in honor of Jimmy Lai, the pro-democracy advocate and media entrepreneur who is currently imprisoned amidst China’s increasing repression of the financial center.
