Trump grinned and greeted the prime minister and his wife, Sara Netanyahu, with a warm welcome, kissing her on the cheek before firmly shaking Bibi’s hand and posing for a photo with the couple.

The meeting with Trump followed Netanyahu’s meeting with Vice President Kamala Harris the day before. What initially seemed like a successful meeting between Kamala and Bibi later turned sour, as the prime minister grew bothered after being informed of the critical remarks Harris made in a speech regarding Israel in the ongoing war in Gaza.

Additionally, former President Trump reportedly displayed the healing bullet wound on his ear to Bibi.

For a brief period during their meeting, Trump allowed reporters to enter the meeting as he was questioned about the future of American-Israeli relations.

“If we win, it will be very simple. It’s all going to work out and very quickly. If we don’t, we’re all going to end up with major wars in the Middle East and maybe a third world war. You are closer to a third world war right now than at any time during the second world war. You’ve never been so close because you have incompetent people running our country,” Trump said.

Later on, Netanyahu passed along information regarding a kidnapped Israeli child that was shared by the child’s grandfather, which prompted Trump to respond, saying: “We’ll get that taken care of.”

In a Joint Congressional meeting on Wednesday, Netanyahu also spoke highly of Trump and expressed relief that the assassination attempt was unsuccessful.

“I want to thank President Trump for his leadership in brokering the historic Abraham Accords. Like Americans, Israelis were relieved that President Trump emerged safe and sound from that dastardly attack on time. There is no room for political violence in democracies,” said Netanyahu.

In a Thursday interview with Fox & Friends, Trump spoke about Netanyahu’s address to Congress, stating that Netanyahu was “very nice to me.”

“I want him to finish up and get it done quickly,” Trump stated. “You got to get it done quickly because they are getting decimated with this publicity. Any, you know, Israel is not very good at public relations,” he continued.
