Legal Team of Hunter Biden Retracts Request for New Firearms Trial
Legal representatives for Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, made a move to withdraw a filing seeking a new trial in his federal gun case on Monday. The motion was uploaded to his case’s docket in Delaware federal court but was quickly withdrawn, as indicated by a note on a court document website.
The note on the docket website stated, “The Motion for a New Trial (formerly DI 233) has been deleted at the request of counsel,” and labeled it as a “correcting entry.”
At this time, there has been no response from Hunter Biden’s attorneys regarding this action.
Just minutes before, it was reported that Hunter Biden had requested a new trial after being convicted by a jury last week for falsifying information about his illegal drug use in order to purchase a gun.
In the filing, Hunter Biden’s legal team argued that the court did not have jurisdiction over the case.
