Mace criticizes Biden’s comments at West Point, suggests slight towards MAGA
According to South Carolina Republican Rep. Nancy Mace speaking to Newsmax on Monday night, President Joe Biden deliberately highlighted in his commencement speech at West Point that graduating cadets swore an oath to protect the U.S. from both internal and external threats.
During the speech at the U.S. Military Academy, Biden emphasized that cadets pledged allegiance to the Constitution of the United States, not to a particular political party or president, and against enemies, foreign and domestic.
On Monday’s “Rob Schmitt Tonight,” guest host Jenn Pellegrino asked Mace about Biden’s emphasis on the words “and domestic” and how he portrayed them as a potential threat. Mace pointed out that Biden views Republicans, MAGA supporters, and those on the right as his political adversaries.
Mace also criticized CNN commentator Ana Navarro’s comments regarding some Latino immigrants trying to appear more American by being anti-immigrant. Mace argued that legal immigrants in South Carolina follow the law and expect others to do the same, rather than receiving special privileges.
