Malliotakis tells Newsmax: Immigrant Voters Show Support for Trump

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis predicted on Newsmax Sunday that foreign-born voters will increasingly support former President Donald Trump after his conviction in New York City. She believes they recognize that he is being unfairly treated by the justice system, similar to how people were treated in the countries they left.

According to Malliotakis, the political prosecution of Trump is reminiscent of actions taken in third world and socialist countries against leading opponents. She emphasized the importance of not allowing such practices in the United States of America.

Representing a diverse district in southern Brooklyn and Staten Island, Malliotakis shared that constituents from various backgrounds express their opposition to political prosecution. They do not want to see the same circumstances they fled from in their home countries repeated in the US.

Malliotakis raised concerns about the lack of response from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez following the recent shooting of two New York City Police officers in her district. She criticized Ocasio-Cortez for her support of defunding the police and open borders policies, which are now negatively impacting New York City.

Addressing the issue of immigrants committing crimes and being housed in luxury hotel rooms, Malliotakis highlighted the strain on resources and the repercussions of the dangerous bail law. She expressed frustration at the cycle of offenders being released back onto the streets while the public bears the cost of providing them with free services.
