Regarding Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s lack of reaction to a recent incident involving a Venezuelan immigrant in her district, Malliotakis criticized her support for defunding the police and open borders. She highlighted the challenges faced by New York City due to these policies.

Furthermore, Malliotakis raised concerns about immigrants committing crimes and being housed in luxury hotels at the expense of taxpayers. She criticized the lenient bail laws that allow offenders to be released back onto the streets.
