“I am thrilled to announce the establishment of my restructured Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC), consisting of top experts in their fields, who hold great respect from their peers. It is a significant honor to serve on HSAC, and I am confident that the new members, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster (R-S.C.), Mark Levin, Bo Dietl, and Joseph Gruters, will excel in their roles,” the president stated in a message on Truth Social.
“Guided by Under Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, HSAC will diligently work on developing new policies and strategies to enhance border security, deport illegal criminal offenders, combat the influx of fentanyl and other harmful drugs that endanger our citizens, and MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN. Congratulations to all!” he added.
Levin expressed his gratitude to the 47th president following the announcement, tweeting: “What an honor! Thank you, Mr. President!”
The recent appointments come after a significant reorganization of the DHS Advisory Council, following President Trump’s return to the White House. Upon its disbandment, the administration indicated that the decision was made to avoid resource misuse, referencing the previous Biden administration’s controversial initiative to form a “Disinformation Governance Board.”
