Marquette Poll Finds Biden and Trump are Evenly Matched in Head-to-Head Contest
According to a recent poll conducted by the Marquette University Law School, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are tied in a head-to-head contest.
When voters were asked to choose between Biden and Trump, the results showed a split among them:
Adding independent candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West, as well as Green Party candidate Jill Stein to the mix, Trump takes the lead:
- Biden: 37%
- Trump: 40%
- Kennedy: 17%
- Stein: 3%
- West: 3%
The poll also gathered voters’ opinions on each candidate:
- Biden: 39% favorable, 60% unfavorable, 1% undecided.
- Trump: 41% favorable, 58% unfavorable, 1% undecided.
- Kennedy: 31% favorable, 45% unfavorable, 24% undecided.
- Stein: 12% favorable, 26% unfavorable, 62% undecided.
- West: 11% favorable, 20% unfavorable, 69% undecided.
The survey sampled 902 registered voters nationwide from May 6-15, 2024, with a margin of error of +/- 4.6 percentage points.
