Matthew Whitaker accuses Judge Merchan of attempting to pressure a conviction in Interview with Newsmax

Former acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker stated on Newsmax that Judge Juan Merchan is heavily biased against Donald Trump and is pushing for a conviction.

The jury in Trump’s legal expense case is deliberating after guidance from Judge Juan Merchan regarding the law and considerations for their verdict.

Trump is accused of 34 counts related to falsifying business records to label payments to attorney Michael Cohen as a “legal expense.” These payments were allegedly made to adult entertainer Stormy Daniels to prevent her from damaging Trump’s reputation during the 2016 election.

Whitaker supported Trump’s claim that “not even Mother Teresa could overcome” the judge and prosecution’s influence.

“Putting bricks on the scale of justice” was how Whitaker described the unfair process and jury instructions that do not align with the law.
