Matthew Whitaker Tells Newsmax: ‘Debates are Essential’

Former acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker told Newsmax that President Joe Biden will face a tough challenge in a debate with former President Donald Trump and will struggle to convince Americans that the economy is functioning as intended.

During an appearance on “Newsline”, Whitaker expressed doubts about Biden’s ability to hold his own in a debate with Trump, citing his recent public appearances and verbal gaffes.

Whitaker emphasized the importance of debates between the two candidates, stating that it is essential for them to discuss critical issues on behalf of the American people.

Additionally, Whitaker raised concerns about Biden’s economic policies, questioning their effectiveness compared to Trump’s policies which Whitaker believes benefited the American people and workers.

Whitaker also criticized the idea of denying Secret Service protection to Trump in the event of a conviction, calling it “outrageous” and dismissing it as a political ploy by Rep. Bennie Thompson.
