Mayor of Palm Beach Contemplates Closing Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Residence – One America News Network

Former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home could soon be closed to visitors, at least up until the end of election season.

The main road leading towards Trump’s residency, South Ocean Boulevard, has been shut down by the U.S. Secret Service following the assassination attempt on the former president’s life on July 13^th.

That road will remain closed until at least Election Day, according to Palm Beach officials.

In a Tuesday city council meeting, Palm Beach Mayor Danielle Moore stated her opinion on the matter after being questioned on the status of the club.

“In my mind, if the road is closed, the Mar-a-Lago Club is closed,” Moore stated. “There’s no way in God’s green earth that they can bring 350 people into that club. It’s completely illogical that you’ve got a road closed and then you’re going to let 350 strangers into your club.”

During Trump’s time in office, the main road leading to his residency was only closed during periods in which Trump was in town.

Currently, the road is shut down regardless of whether or not Trump is home, which residents claim “poses safety concerns.”

First responders requiring passage through the closed off road now have to navigate around barricades and traffic jams in the bottlenecked region near the closures.

“There’s a serpentine, there’s a gauntlet that we have to run,” said Palm Beach Fire Rescue Chief Sean Baker.

During the recent council meeting, Council Member Julie Araskog also claimed that she had been receiving a slew of concerning calls from people who maintained that nearby residents “don’t feel safe right now.”

“You can’t have it both ways, boys and girls,” Moore continued. “Either the club’s open or not.”

As of now, the Mar-a-Lago Club is still open to members and guests.
