The memoir, simply titled Melania, is described as as a “powerful and inspiring story of a woman who has defined personal excellence, overcome adversity, and carved her own path.”
So far, no further details have been shared in regards to an official release date, however, there has been speculation that the new book will be released sometime closer to election season.
Skyhorse Publishing, an American independent book publishing company founded in 2006, is reportedly working with Melania on the book. The company has also worked with other prominent figures that have been previously connected to the Trump family, such as former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani and attorney Alan Dershowitz.
In relation to the memoir, Melania’s website states:
“The former First Lady invites readers into her world, offering an intimate portrait of a woman who has lived an extraordinary life.”
There will be three versions of the book, ranging from $150 for the Collectors Edition, which includes 256 pages of full color and a personal signature from Melania, to a $40 version for the memoir edition.
Days prior to the book announcement, Melania also released a statement calling for unity in response to the assassination attempt that came a half-inch from taking her husband’s life.
“When I watched that violent bullet strike my husband, Donald, I realized my life, and Barron’s life, were on the brink of devastating change,” Melania stated. “A monster who recognized my husband as an inhuman political machine attempted to ring out Donald’s passion – his laughter, ingenuity, love of music, and inspiration. The core facets of my husband’s life – his human side – were buried below the political machine. Donald, the generous and caring man who I have been with through the best of times and the worst of times,” she continued.
Further down the letter she emphasized the need for unification:
“…let us remember that when the time comes to look beyond the left and the right, beyond the red and the blue, we all come from families with the passion to fight for a better life together, while we are here, in this earthly realm.”
