Memorial Day BBQ Prices Increase by 10% in 2024 During Biden’s Presidency
The average cost of a Memorial Day cookout this year is approximately $30, which is 10% higher than it was in 2023 under Bidenomics.
According to WalletHub, an estimated 52% of Americans are planning to barbecue over the holiday weekend.
Of the 43.8 million Americans traveling over the Memorial Day weekend, 38.4 million are planning to drive, facing gas prices that have increased by 4% year over year, with an average price of $3.70 per gallon, as reported by WalletHub.
The higher costs of the holiday weekend come shortly after a poll released by the Cook Political Report showing that 56% of swing-state voters believe Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump could bring prices under control, compared to 40% who believe President Joe Biden could.
“Workers and families are feeling the impact of Joe Biden’s failed economic policies, with prices of essential items like gas, food, rent, and diapers soaring,” remarked Trump campaign national spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said.
