Miami Mayor Suarez Endorses Trump
Miami Mayor Francis Suarez has officially endorsed former President Donald Trump’s campaign for the White House.
The endorsement was made by Suarez, a former Republican presidential candidate, in a tweet.
In his statement, Suarez declared: “After witnessing both our current President and President Trump at the border, and having visited there myself last week, it is clear to me that the only candidate capable of ensuring the safety of our country, securing our borders, reducing inflation, and effectively leading our nation is President Donald J. Trump. It is for these reasons that I am endorsing President Trump today.
“I am eager to support him in highlighting his strong accomplishments and contrasting them with the current administration’s. I am particularly excited to assist President Trump and the Republican Party in gaining more support from Hispanic, young, and urban voters.”
Suarez, on August 29, suspended his presidential campaign, exiting the 2024 race after failing to meet the requirements for the first Republican debate, as reported by The Associated Press.
The two-term mayor was the first candidate to withdraw from the crowded GOP field. He had launched his campaign just over two months prior, entering as one of the final contenders to join the primary race.
