Mike Huckabee tells Newsmax: Trump Trial has a Foul Odor

Former Arkansas Republican Gov. Mike Huckabee told Newsmax on Tuesday that the ongoing criminal trial of former President Donald Trump in New York City is a Democratic ploy to attack a political opponent using government mechanisms.

During an appearance on “Wake Up America,” Huckabee pointed out how Trump continues to dominate the news cycle despite being out of office and facing multiple legal challenges, while Biden’s public speeches receive minimal coverage from major networks.

Huckabee highlighted the contrast by stating, “With Donald Trump, every day is an adventure. Every day provides some kind of new news story,” unlike Biden’s less eventful coverage.

Regarding Biden’s Earth Day speech, Huckabee remarked that there was nothing newsworthy to report other than Biden’s difficulties on stage. He also suggested that the ongoing legal cases against Trump could potentially garner him support from voters.

Huckabee mentioned how people watching Trump’s trial might question the fairness of the accusations compared to past instances where political opponents like Hillary Clinton were not similarly prosecuted for alleged wrongdoing.
