Tenney (R-N.Y.) has introduced a bill titled the Trump’s Birthday and Flag Day Holiday Establishment Act.
This legislation would formally acknowledge both Trump’s birthday and Flag Day, celebrated on June 14th, as recognized public holidays.
“Similar to how George Washington’s birthday is established as a federal holiday, we should also honor President Trump’s birthday for his role as the architect of America’s Golden Age,” Tenney stated on X on Monday.
While George Washington was born on February 22nd, Presidents’ Day is commemorated on the third Monday of February, which does not necessarily coincide with his actual birthday.
In a separate post, Tenney remarked that “no contemporary president has played a more crucial role in our nation than Donald J. Trump.”
“Today, I put forth legislation to recognize Trump’s Birthday and Flag Day as federal holidays, ensuring that President Trump’s contributions to the greatness of America are permanently commemorated in law,” she stated.
