Napolitano predicts all jurors in Trump case will be selected by Friday according to Newsmax

Former Judge Andrew Napolitano predicted on Newsmax that all 18 jurors for Donald Trump’s New York criminal trial will be seated by Friday.

Napolitano, speaking on “National Report” on Wednesday, expressed his surprise and optimism that seven jurors have already been selected: “I thought this would take several weeks, but the judge and the lawyers are doing a pretty good job. We have to get to 18, which is 12 jurors and six alternates. I think they’ll have that by Friday and then the fireworks will start.”

The panelists already chosen include an information technology worker, an English teacher, an oncology nurse, a sales professional, a software engineer, and two lawyers. However, 11 more individuals need to be sworn in before opening statements can begin as early as next week in this historic trial.

This trial represents a pivotal moment for Trump, who has faced delays in his legal battles and portrayed himself as a victim of political bias in the justice system. It impacts the closely contested race between Trump and President Joe Biden, with potential implications on the upcoming election.

Napolitano emphasized the fairness of the selection process, noting that both prosecutors and defense lawyers have the opportunity to assess potential jurors and ensure a fair and unbiased trial. He highlighted the importance of jurors having relevant opinions and perspectives on Trump and the government.
