Napolitano Tells Newsmax: It’s Impossible to Protect the Jury
Former New Jersey Superior Court Judge Andrew Napolitano believes that the jury in Donald Trump’s legal expense trial may have been exposed to information despite warnings from the judge.
Napolitano stated, “Judges often instruct juries not to watch television, use their computers, access the internet, or read news articles related to the case. However, jurors are human beings, and the temptation to do so can be overwhelming.”
During an appearance on Newsmax‘s “Carl Higbie FRONTLINE,” Napolitano mentioned that Trump’s recent comments in the courthouse hallway could influence the jurors, even though he wouldn’t have been able to make those statements from the stand.
Trump’s legal team and Manhattan prosecutors presented their final arguments to the jury on Tuesday, as they deliberate on whether Trump had knowledge and intent to conceal a payment to Stormy Daniels orchestrated by Michael Cohen.
The jury started deliberations on Wednesday to determine Trump’s innocence or guilt in the case.
