Napolitano Tells Newsmax: Politics Behind Prosecution of Hunter Biden and Trump

According to retired New York Superior Court Judge Andrew Napolitano, there is a substantial amount of evidence against Hunter Biden in his gun case in Delaware. However, Napolitano believes that the decision to prosecute him ultimately came down to his last name, just as the decision to prosecute former President Donald Trump in New York City was influenced by his identity. Napolitano shared these thoughts on a Newsmax interview on Friday.

Napolitano expressed concern about the intersection of politics and law enforcement, stating that it should not exist but unfortunately does in today’s political climate.

He suggested that if Hunter Biden had a different last name, such as Hunter Jones, he may not have been prosecuted. Similarly, if Donald Trump had a different last name, such as Donald Jones, he might not have faced prosecution either.

Napolitano also discussed the possibility of jury nullification in Biden’s case, where jurors may choose not to prosecute based on personal beliefs or biases.

Despite the political implications, Biden is facing charges for lying on gun purchase paperwork and illegal possession while addicted to drugs. If found guilty, he could potentially face decades in prison.

Napolitano highlighted that Biden’s defense may rely on his completion of a rehab program and his lack of knowledge of being addicted to drugs at the time of purchasing the gun.

The judge also touched upon the presence of First Lady Jill Biden in the courtroom, noting that her influence on the jury could be a concern. However, he emphasized the importance of handling such situations discreetly.

Napolitano further discussed Biden’s failed plea deal and the potential implications of his statements during the hearing.

Regarding President Joe Biden’s promise not to pardon his son, Napolitano suggested that the timing of this statement could be crucial, indicating that a pardon might be considered under different circumstances.
