ND Governor Burgum Tells Newsmax: Trump Trial Dubbed ‘Zombie Case for a Reason’
North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum told Newsmax on Friday that former President Donald Trump’s New York business records trial was known as the “zombie case” because it lacks substance.
Burgum criticized the trial as a distraction orchestrated by the Biden administration to divert attention from its failures, such as inflation and international instability. He highlighted the contrast between the peaceful world under Trump’s presidency and the current state of conflict under Biden, blaming the latter’s weakness for the deteriorating global situation.
He emphasized that the charges against Trump in New York are baseless and exaggerated, intended to interfere with the election rather than pursue justice. Burgum condemned the trial as a political stunt aimed at undermining Trump’s candidacy.
Burgum also criticized Biden’s economic and energy policies for causing hardships for Americans, including increased gas, electricity, and food prices. He accused Biden of avoiding accountability and debate, pointing to his lack of substantive achievements.
