New Campaign Merch Features Pence Quoting Trump
Former Vice President Mike Pence has launched merchandise for his 2024 presidential campaign featuring a quote from his former boss, Donald Trump. This comes in the wake of Trump’s third indictment for allegedly attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election. According to special counsel Jack Smith’s indictment, Trump berated Pence on New Year’s Day for being “too honest” when Pence stated he didn’t have the authority to reject votes. In an interview with Fox News, Pence revealed that Trump asked him to reject and return votes to overturn the election, but Pence refused. Despite launching merchandise, Pence has not yet met the donor threshold to appear on stage for the first Republican debate this month. However, his campaign is optimistic that the merchandise launch will lead to increased fundraising and help him reach the required number of donors. Pence currently has over 30,000 unique donors and expects to reach 40,000 soon.
