New York Attorney General Affirms Trump’s Responsibility for ‘Enormous Fraud’

According to New York Attorney General Letitia James, Donald Trump is not yet cleared of his legal troubles.

A New York appeals court has agreed to temporarily halt the collection of the more than $454 million civil fraud judgment against former President Donald Trump, but only if he pays $175 million within the next 10 days.

In a statement released on Monday afternoon, James asserted that “Donald Trump is still facing accountability for his staggering fraud.

James continued, stating that “The court has already found that he engaged in years of fraud to falsely inflate his net worth and unjustly enrich himself, his family, and his organization. The $464 million judgment — plus interest — against Donald Trump and the other defendants remains in place,” without providing further details.

Back on Feb. 16, James had celebrated a “massive victory” in her civil fraud case against Trump, accusing him of trying to enrich himself.
