New York Post Reports on Biden Administration’s Decision to Grant ‘Mass Amnesty’

The Biden administration is touting its border policies as successfully reducing illegal immigration, but a recent report reveals a deceptive tactic aimed at concealing its “mass amnesty” agenda by essentially making asylum cases disappear.

According to the New York Post, the Biden administration has dismissed over 350,000 migrant asylum cases without a decision on the merits if the individuals have no criminal record or pose no threat. This removal from the legal record allows these individuals to live in the U.S. indefinitely without fear of deportation.

“This is essentially a broad amnesty disguised as prosecutorial discretion,” said Andrew Arthur of the Center for Immigration Studies and a former immigration judge.

ICE officials have confirmed this covert operation, warning that the increasing disappearance of asylum cases poses challenges should these undocumented individuals commit crimes and have to be reviewed due to a new criminal record.

Data from the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) illustrates how the Biden administration has amplified the erasure of asylum cases over the years to avoid accumulating numbers:

With a backlog of 3.5 million asylum cases, removing 100,000 individuals annually from this backlog may present a positive image for the administration during an election cycle that focuses on immigration policies, according to the report.

In addition to clearing asylum cases faster, the Biden administration has recently mandated that cases must be resolved within 180 days if they are assigned to Democratic sanctuary cities like Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City.
