Newsmax: Holt and Grimm Urge US to Reduce Dependency on China
Retired Air Force Brig. Gen. Blaine Holt and former FBI agent and retired Marine Michael Grimm have called for the United States to reassess its relationship with China and reduce its dependence on the communist nation. They argue that the US needs to evaluate not only its relationship with China in terms of the current administration, but also its ties to Wall Street, money flows, and China’s interactions with international institutions. They highlight the need to secure the US border and tackle the issue of fentanyl and the Mexican cartels. Holt and Grimm stress the importance of decoupling the US economy from China’s and reducing reliance on Chinese pharmaceutical ingredients. They also raise concerns about China’s military collaboration with Russia, including the supply of military equipment. They suggest that the US has leverage over China, given the CCP’s problems at home, but it is not being properly utilized. Both Holt and Grimm criticize the Biden administration for what they perceive as a weak stance on China, arguing that weakness only leads to further aggression and a more dangerous world.
