Newsmax: Judge Napolitano Slams Idea of Trump Posting Bail as ‘Absurd’

Former New Jersey Superior Court Judge Andrew Napolitano criticized the decision to require former President Donald Trump to post $200,000 bail in the Georgia election interference case, calling it absurd. Napolitano argued that Trump is too well-known to flee and has too much at stake in the case to fail to show up. Trump and 18 allies were charged with conspiring to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia. Napolitano explained that Trump’s booking will involve being fingerprinted, weighed, and measured, and taking a mugshot before being delivered to the courtroom for a bail hearing. The judge also commented on the decision to allow cameras in the courtroom, saying it is good for the public to see how the judiciary works.
