Newsmax Takes Top Spot as Most Trusted Cable Channel in CPAC Poll



According to a poll for the Conservative Political Action Conference, Newsmax was voted the most trusted cable news outlet, surpassing Fox News by 34 points.

The survey, conducted by McLaughlin & Associates with 1,478 conservative participants, also revealed that Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook and Meta, was considered the Big Tech CEO “doing the most to undermine America.”

The poll results showed:

  • 49% trust Newsmax as a cable news outlet.
  • 15% trust Fox News.
  • 29% chose “none” as a trusted outlet.
  • 2% selected NewsNation.
  •  CNN and MSNBC each had 1% trust.

Regarding the Big Tech CEO undermining America:

  • 55% believed Mark Zuckerberg was the top offender.
  • 32% named Sundar Pichai of Google.
  • 5% pointed to Jeff Bezos of Amazon.
  • 1% mentioned Tim Cook of Apple.

The survey also asked about combating “woke elites” and found that:

  • 46% suggested giving to grassroots efforts to mobilize conservatives.
  • 25% recommended donating directly to congressional candidates.
  • 7% thought supporting conservative think tanks was the way to go.
  • 2% mentioned giving money to the Republican National Committee.

Participants completed the survey through the CPAC Straw Poll Link or the App using their unique, six-digit PIN codes provided during registration.
