Newsmax: Van Duyne Accuses Democrats of Misusing SBA Funds for Voter Registration Drive

The Biden administration is unlawfully using taxpayer-funded resources from the Small Business Administration (SBA) to promote voter registration in Michigan, according to Rep. Beth Van Duyne speaking to Newsmax on Tuesday.

Van Duyne, a Texas Republican on the House Small Business Committee, revealed that the committee has written to the SBA administrator seeking clarification on why the federal agency is involved in voter registration efforts in Michigan.

She stated that it is against the law for the administration to use taxpayer dollars for campaigning purposes, particularly for a specific political party.

The congresswoman mentioned that an SBA official was recorded boasting about using taxpayer money to campaign for Democrats, yet they have not provided satisfactory answers when questioned. As a result, the committee is issuing a subpoena to compel SBA officials to testify before the panel.

Van Duyne emphasized that the SBA’s role does not include voter registration or providing resources for it. The misuse of funds for this purpose is occurring at the same time as small businesses are facing challenges under the Biden administration.
