Next Senate GOP Leader Must Collaborate with Trump, says Sen. Tim Scott
Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., emphasized the importance of the next Senate Republican leader working closely with former President Donald Trump during an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”
Scott stated, “I would like to see someone leading the Senate who is willing and able to work hand in glove with President Trump.” He also expressed the need for a Senate majority that prioritizes putting America first by collaborating with President Trump, advocating for tax cuts and maintaining law and order.
Republican Senators John Thune of South Dakota and John Cornyn of Texas have thrown their hats in the ring for the leadership position, while Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky has hinted at potential interest as well.
