Nikki Haley Suggests Biden Should Undergo a ‘Mental Competency Test’

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley has called for President Joe Biden to immediately take a “mental competency test” following a special counsel report that highlighted “significant limitations” in his memory.

Although special counsel Robert Hur decided not to prosecute Biden for “willfully” retaining and sharing highly classified documents, he did point out in his 388-page report that Biden displayed signs of being an “elderly man with a poor memory.”

According to the report, Biden “did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died.”

“Joe Biden can’t remember major life events, like when he was vice president or when his son died,” Haley tweeted. “It is sad, but it will be even sadder if we have a person in the White House who is not mentally up to the most important job in the world. Joe Biden should take a mental competency test immediately, and the results should be shared with the public.”

Haley had previously called for mental competency tests for politicians over the age of 75, including Donald Trump, who is 77 years old and currently ahead of Haley in the GOP primary.

In a prime-time address on Thursday, Biden responded to Hur’s comments and defended his memory by stating, “My memory is fine.”

Biden further expressed his frustration with Hur for bringing up the death of his son, and later made an error by referring to Abdel Fattah el-Sisi as the “president of Mexico,” when in fact el-Sisi is the president of Egypt.
