On Tuesday, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem accompanied U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during a series of raids focused on apprehending criminal illegal immigrants in Arizona.

Noem joined around 100 federal agents who captured three illegal immigrants wanted for weapons and drug-related offenses connected to a money laundering operation.

Numerous videos from Noem’s ride-along highlighted the brave and perilous work ICE agents undertake daily to detain and remove illegal aliens involved in criminal activities.

In one clip, Noem posed with ICE agents while holding an assault-style firearm, remarking, “We’re heading out to locate someone with human trafficking charges. Earlier today, we apprehended an individual wanted for murder, so I appreciate their daily efforts to keep America safe.”

Throughout the day, Noem provided updates, stating: “Arizona is a safer place this morning after successfully removing criminal illegal aliens and gang members from our streets. A big thank you to our courageous law enforcement officers. If you are here illegally, we will locate you, arrest you, and return you to your country.”

Noem let Chaya Raichik, the owner of the popular X account “Libs of TikTok,” join her for part of the day. Raichik posted a video featuring Noem speaking with a detained illegal alien who attempted to kick her while inside a van.

“This illegal immigrant was furious about being arrested and tried to block us with his CROC. DHS Secretary Noem said, ‘You’re not intimidating me with your Crocs,’” Raichik shared.

DHS reported that among the arrested was Bonifacio Renteria-Cruz, an illegal immigrant felon from Mexico allegedly linked to the Sinaloa Cartel. Renteria-Cruz also has an arrest warrant in Mexico for homicide.

Jose Escobar-Robles was another arrested individual, allegedly involved in a money laundering scheme connected to Mexican cartels engaged in drug trafficking and human smuggling.

The final detainee was Luis Garcia-Sanchez, an alleged member of the 18th Street gang with outstanding felony narcotics charges.

Garcia-Sanchez had previously been ordered removed from the country twice, according to DHS officials.

Noem conversed with Garcia-Sanchez, questioning why he returned after his previous deportation and whether he desires a better life for his children.

“Face the consequences of your actions here. Demonstrate to them what it means to be a better person,” Noem asserted.

Furthermore, Noem discussed the forthcoming Alien Registration Act of 1940, which will take effect on April 11th.

This law mandates illegal aliens who have resided in the U.S. for 30 days or more to register with the federal government or face severe penalties, including deportation.

“We have surpassed the deadline of the Alien Registration Act, which means everyone in this country illegally now faces a criminal charge. It is essential for everyone to understand that we are enforcing this act. If you have been here longer than 30 days without registering, we will pursue you criminally,” Noem explained.

“This means we can enter your residence, detain you, charge you, and impose fines up to $1,000 per day,” she continued, emphasizing that the act aims to “ensure that American citizens are the only individuals granted rights to reside in this country.”

“All others will face the consequences for violating our laws.”
