Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) during a congressional hearing on June 15 demanded answers from a Yale School of Medicine assistant professor on which studies provide evidence of the benefits of cross-sex procedures. Meredithe McNamara didn’t offer a single study prior to Crenshaw’s time running out. The congressman is the sponsor of a bill that would remove funding from children’s hospitals if they provide such procedures for minors.
