On Tuesday, August 27th, the Manchester-originated band members and brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher made the announcement along with a massive 2025 UK tour.

On social media, 51-year-old Liam and 57-year-old Noel announced the news with the caption, “This is it, this is happening.”

The brothers will reportedly perform four different concerts at Wembley Stadium in London, as well as shows in Scotland, Wales, and Ireland next summer.

Due to the bandmates’ rocky relationship over the years, many fans had assumed that a reunion was unfeasible.

However, over the weekend, there were rumors that Oasis and the Gallaghers may reconcile after the brothers posted on social media.

Both siblings shared a video on X (Twitter) on Sunday, August 25th, in which they could be seen writing the date August 27th and 8 a.m. in Oasis’ trademark font.

Later that day, Liam teasingly said, “I never did like that word FORMER,” on X (Twitter).

Additionally, during a session at the Reading Festival in England on Sunday, the younger of the two Gallaghers paid tribute to Noel by performing the Oasis song “Half the World Away.” As he sang, a screen behind him displayed the same 11-second clip that he had uploaded to the internet.

Liam continued by dedicating Oasis’ song “Cigarettes & Alcohol” to the band’s “haters.”

The reunion teaser was released later that day after an article in The Sunday Times said that the brothers would headline Glastonbury Festival the next year and play a number of shows in the summer of 2025, including a 10-day run at London’s Wembley Stadium.

On August 29th, Oasis will also be commemorating the 30th anniversary of their debut album, “Definitely Maybe.”

Oasis was founded in 1991, having always been led by brothers Liam and Noel, with other members joining and leaving as time passes.

When Noel declared his departure from the band in 2009, the group formally announced their breakup after years of public outbursts and media trash-talking.
