Pam Bondi Tells Newsmax: Trump’s Meeting with Probation Officer Was Pointless

Former President Donald Trump is set to meet with a probation officer, but former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi told Newsmax on Monday that it’s a pointless exercise.

Bondi expressed sympathy for the probation officer, stating on “Newsline” that the questions asked during such meetings are trivial for someone of Trump’s stature. She described it as an absurd and wasteful process within the legal system.

Trump’s meeting with the probation officer comes after being convicted on 34 felony charges related to the 2016 election. This marked the first time a former president has been convicted in a criminal case.

Bondi also criticized Judge Juan Merchan for not sequestering the jury after a juror’s contact with an outside source seemed to hint at a conviction. She called for a mistrial, citing the lack of jury sequestration as a major flaw in the trial process.
